They are the unofficial mascot of the fire service.
No, not the rookies. We’re talking about the DalmatianDalmation.

Firefighters aren’t in it for the recognition. But a select few become well known and universally respected — in firefighter circles and beyond.
Warren Forsyth is one of those few.
He’s a third generation New York City firefighter, who passed the tradition on to a fourth generation. He served the city for 20 years, the majority of which he spent with the prestigious Rescue Company 1 in Midtown Manhattan.
Along the way, he earned 13 citations for bravery in the line of duty.

It’s the instantly recognizable symbol of the fire service.
You’ll see it on our helmets and our trucks. It’s on our badges and our gear. And you don’t have to look far to find a firefighter with the symbol tattooed on their body. It’s a point of pride and a permanent reminder of the service and sacrifice the job requires.
It’s the Maltese Cross.

Anyone who has worked in the fire service in the last 70 years knows about the Halligan.
It’s the tool you need to get through just about any door and a lot more. It’s got a claw, a blade, and a pick. In the right hands, there’s almost nothing it can’t do.
That’s why we’re so excited to unveil our newest mug in honor of this timeless tool. The Halligan mug is slate blue and silver, strong and reliable. It’s always there for you in the toughest of times. It looks pretty cool, too.

Not all coffee is created equal.
If you’re reading this, you know that already. But you may not know exactly why.
You can get a cup of coffee at the gas station, and that’s fine. It’ll do.
You can get a cup of coffee from your favorite local diner, and it’s probably a little better.
Progress.
But when you sip from a cup of expertly roasted, patiently blended small-batch, roasted to order coffee made by a roaster who sees his job as a calling and not just a paycheck? Well, we’re willing to bet you can taste the difference.

Two things we know are 100% guaranteed to make a long day on the job much better.
The first is coffee. It’s sort of our thing.
The second? Laughter.
Our best days on the job are when there’s a full pot of coffee and a full crew of men and women in good moods and cracking jokes.
Jason Patton is the founder of Fire Department Chronicles, where he shares hilarious videos that tap the power of humor to lift the spirits of firefighters worldwide. That’s why he’s become one of Fire Dept. Coffee’s greatest partners.

All decaf is not created equal.
You don’t have to be a professional coffee roaster to figure that out. Try enough decaf coffee and you’ll know that the taste can range from delicious to “what the heck did I just drink?”
