When Fire Department Coffee first teamed up with Sam Hunt Racing to sponsor Kaz Grala’s No. 26 Toyota Supra this year, we knew we were in for exciting times.
And this season has not disappointed one bit!
We were the lead sponsor for 10 races during the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule, and we wrapped up our run this weekend at the Road America 180 in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, a few hours north of our headquarters in Rockford, Illinois. It was an awesome weekend with several members of the Fire Dept. Coffee team, as well as family members, on hand to savor the experience and see the FDC car do its thing one last time this season.
Grala rose to the occasion, tearing down the track on his way to a Top 10 finish that had us cheering all the way to the checkered flag.
“We could not be more grateful to Kaz Grala and the entire Sam Hunt Racing team for the way they embraced Fire Dept. Coffee,” FDC Founder Luke Schneider said. “They represented our brand with pure class every step of the way. It was an honor to help fuel their efforts this season.”
FDC’s alliance with NASCAR also helped introduce us to thousands of coffee-loving race fans at tracks across the country and even at the first-ever NASCAR race along the streets of downtown Chicago. We got to meet so many incredible people and share the coffee that we are so passionate about roasting.
And we had a blast designing a variety of custom paint schemes for the No. 26 car, from our traditional fire-engine red design to a throwback design, as well as schemes that highlighted our Shellback Espresso, Skull-Crushing Espresso and Black Cherry Bourbon Infused Coffee.
Thank you once again to Kaz Grala and Sam Hunt Racing. Best of luck the rest of the season!
