Fire Dept. Coffee Unveils Vintage Paint Scheme for NASCAR Throwback Weekend

We’re hitting the track and we’re throwing it back in style.

NASCAR’s annual Throwback Weekend is fast approaching. On Sunday, May 13, during the Xfinity Series race in Darlington, South Carolina, you’ll notice a vintage fire truck themed paint scheme on the No. 26 Supra driven by Kaz Grala for Sam Hunt Racing.

During Throwback Weekend, several NASCAR teams will showcase designs inspired by the cars, drivers, and sponsors throughout NASCAR's history.

Fire Dept. Coffee is using the opportunity to pay tribute to the fire and safety workers of the sport and all first responders.

Our throwback design is inspired by vintage fire trucks and features a bold, iconic red, gold, and white color palette with fonts inspired by the lettering on classic fire trucks. It's a nod to the heritage of the fire service and honors firefighters past and present.

NASCAR is adding excitement to Throwback Weekend by inviting fans to vote for their favorite throwback and vintage designs. Show your support for first responders by voting for the No. 26 Fire Dept. Coffee car beginning May 5th on the Darlington Raceway website.

"It's a perfect opportunity to pay homage to past generations of firefighters and first responders with this vintage, old-school fire truck paint scheme," said Kaz Grala of Sam Hunt Racing. "It's been really special to get to represent a veteran-owned company this race season."

The timing of this tribute works out perfectly because May 4th is International Firefighters Day, and it's an opportunity to express gratitude and respect for the firefighters who put their lives on the line to protect their communities. Fire Dept. Coffee's throwback paint scheme serves as a tribute to their bravery and service.
